Alex Kingston – Doctor Who Series 7, Episode 5 Filming

Filed Under: Alex Kingston, Doctor Who, Gallery • Posted on April 23rd, 2012 by Tori • No Comments »

At long last we have “official” confirmation to what we knew all along, that Alex and River would indeed be back for the seventh series of filming. Thanks to Lee (mugim0e on Flickr) we’ve been given permission to repost the photos he took while on set!

The scenes are with Alex and Karen and there are reports that a prop newspaper sets the scene around the year 1938, and that River will pose as a gangster named Melody Malone. It’s also the name of a book that Amy and the Doctor have read in several filming scenes.

For more Doctor Who set photos and other wonderful photos please make sure to visit Lee on Flickr.

‘Doctor Who’: River Song will appear in Amy and Rory’s final episode

Filed Under: Articles & Interviews, Doctor Who • Posted on April 12th, 2012 by Tori • 2 Comments »

While I never doubted, and I mean never, that Alex wouldn’t be back for the upcoming season of Doctor Who (whispers hinted at this last year) it has “finally” been confirmed that she will be in at least one episode this season. But lets hope for more than one.

Spoilers, sweetie! Anyone who has missed “Doctor Who” since it ended it’s last season is going to be thrilled with this news. Before our TV’s made sad faces and the season ended, we saw River Song (Alex Kingston) finally marry her Doctor (Matt Smith) and reveal herself to her daughter Amy (Karen Gillan) and her husband Rory (Arthur Darvill).

The upcoming season will be the last for Amy and Rory before the new companion, played by Jenna-Louise Coleman enters the scene. They’ll be departing in episode 5, Season 7, and are currently in New York filming the final moments. We got you some leaked pictures, if you want to see them in action.

We know there will be Weeping Angels, arguably the scariest of the “Doctor Who” villains. Now we know that River Song will be there to say goodbye to her daughter in 1940′s NYC. Creator Steven Moffat said in a statement, “Not everyone gets out alive and I mean it this time.” Oh dear.

A casting call went out in New York for a photo double for Kingston, saying that the actress must be able to drive.

Upstairs Downstairs – 2×06 Somewhere Over the Rainbow – Captures & DW Update!

Sorry for the delay guys! Been a bit busy lately. Upstairs Downstairs concluded last Sunday with the residents getting ready for war and resulting in explosive consequences for all inside Eaton Place, no word on if or when the next series starts but it’s been a great season and hopefully they will have another.

In the meantime I’ve uploaded 121 HD screencaptures from the series 2 finale in the gallery:

I’ve also come across and added some additional promotional material of Alex from Series 6 of Doctor Who! I’d been getting many requests for these ones so I was really glad I found them!

*Sorry about the thumbnails on the Doctor Who stills, it’s just the way the system renders them.

I think the only thing I really have to say tonight is that I love the color green on Alex. Please wear more green.

Happy Birthday Alex Kingston!

It’s that wonderful time of year were Kingston fans from all over the world gather to celebrate a wonderful woman, (not that we don’t do that everyday), her career and the causes she supports and we wanted to take the time to honour her and shout Happy Birthday Alex Kingston across the internet! A wonderful birthday book project was done on Tumblr and the book looked stunning! Hopefully next year as we celebrate our first year online we’ll be able to do a similar project!

But in the meantime, we say:
